Watercolours & Drawings

The restoraion on watercolours is another of our specialities.  As with prints, the removal of water marks and foxing is a regular requirement.

Examples of our work on watercolours can be seen below

This shows part of a watercolour damaged by water.  The watermarks were visible among the discolouration of the paper.  The cleaning of this watercolour not only removed this discolouration, making all of the colours that much more vibrant, but removed all of the water marks also.

This heavily discoloured watercolour had lost all of its colour and was suffering from heavy foxing.  Once restored the subtle colours of the paint could be seen.

This charcoal drawing was displaying some extremely concentrated fox marks in clusters around the edge of the picture.

Pencil drawing suffering simply from discolouration.  Original detail and pencil colours became apparent once restored.
